3 Nephi 15-18

Questions for Review:

1. How was the Law of Moses fulfilled?  (3 Nephi 15:5-10)

2. What great miracle did the Savior Jesus Christ perform to the Nephite-Lamanite little children in his first visit among them?  (3 Nephi 17:24-25)

2. How should a Bishop handle a person unworthy to partake of the sacrament?  (3 Nephi 18:30-32)


 
3 Nephi 15

The Law of Moses was fulfilled (2-9; also read 3 Nephi 9:19-20; Mosiah 13:28-32)

The knowledge of the land promise (i.e. the American continent) and its inhabitants was kept hidden from the disciples in Jerusalem (13-18)

The people knew nothing about the other tribes because of their unbelief (18-23)


 
3 Nephi 16

The Lord still has other sheep besides those in Jerusalem and in the American continent (1-3)

In the latter days the gospel would be committed to the Gentiles; but when the Gentiles reject it, it will be sent to the Jews (6-7, 10-13)


3 Nephi 17

Despite all explanations, the gospel can only be understood by mortals through pondering and prayer (1-3)

The Lord heals the disabled, sick, and afflicted (5-10)

The Lord blesses the children (11-12, 21-22)

Jesus prays using great and marvelous words, impossible to be written; but the people understood them (13-18; also read 19:31-34)

The Lord opens the heavens, and angels appear in glory to minister to the little children (24-25)


3 Nephi 18

Jesus institutes the sacrament among the Nephites and Lamanites  (1-10)

Watch and pray always  (15-21)

Do not forbid unbelievers from attending church meetings  (22-25)

Do not cast out those who are unworthy of partaking the sacrament  (30-32)

Jesus departs after his first day of ministry among the Nephites and Lamanites  (38-39)
