The Lord bestows unconditional blessings upon Nephi, including the sealing power (4-10)

The sealing power:
• Validates all righteous-and properly recorded-earthly ordinances (read D&C 128:8-9)
• Seals individuals unto eternal life (read D&C 68:12; 131:5-6; 132:49)
• Take a look at a couple of cases: Father Lehi (2 Nephi 1:15); Alma Sr. (Mosiah 26:20); Joseph Smith (D&C 132:49)

The people reject Nephi's preaching and try to arrest him again (13-15)

. Notice one evidence of the Nephites' correct knowledge of astronomy on verses 14-15. It would take almost 1500 years for the Europeans to re-learn these scientific truths.
